Being the true story behind the appearance of the
Gray Whales off Barrow, Alaska, in Oct. of 1988.

For those of you who watched TV in Oct. of 1988, I’m sure you will recall the two gray whales which were found nearly frozen in the Arctic Ocean off Barrow, Alaska, and will remember the monumental effort by the hundreds of volunteers from around the world to save them.
For three weeks the attention of a large part of the world was focused on the plight of those gray whales, and on the people gathered to help them. Until now, only a very small number of people know the true story about how and why those whales got stuck, and the truth is, it was not an accident, rather, a demonstration of the profound interconnection between all that exists upon this Earth and beyond.
Traditionally in Barrow, any whales found frozen in the ice are just that, frozen in the ice and if they cannot be harvested, are left to die. Yet this time something was different: someone made the call for help and for some reason that call was answered, and the world responded.
A journalist named Tom Rose, who was in Barrow reporting for a Japanese consortium, wrote the book about the whale rescue, called; “Freeing the Whales.” Subtitled, "How the Media Created the Greatest Non-event in the History of the World." Hundreds of media people from around the world showed up in Barrow and broadcast live around the world to over a billion people the rescue, via the state-of-the-art Barrow television station.
Greenpeace and oil producers teamed up to help. Russian military and American military teamed up to help. This was during the Reagan and Gorbachev presidencies. Even scientists and
Eskimos were able to relate and cooperate in this emotionally heart felt space. But, why?
The answer to the why question was alluded to numerous times by the reporters present, such as: "It goes to show what people can do when they work together," and, "The rescue has become an example of how men can unite to protect and defend the environment." These statements, though very true and defining, are not the entire picture. That ‘secret’ picture, is what this book and the accompanying videos are about.
The secret picture is this: On the 29th. of Sept.,1988, just one week before the whales were found, I and a local man from Barrow, traveled out onto the Arctic Ocean in a very small boat to where the ocean became deep. It was there I performed a ceremony. A ceremony intended for the purification and the unification of the Earth and for the letting go of the illusion of the separation between all that exists on this Earth. It was this ceremony that acted as a trigger to set in motion all of what we saw occur there in Barrow.
I have suffered to understand this event and its implications since that moment years ago, and it will not let me alone. There is nothing else left to do. There is no place left to go, but to you. To share with you this amazing journey, so you too may know such a miracle for transforming the world exists.
While you read these words and view the video I ask you this; the people you see in the video, the Eskimos, the Russians, the Scientists, everyone, including me doing the ceremony in the boat, everyone is you. Everyone is you.
The gift we were given by the Natural World, by the absolute, symbolized by the two gray whales, showed the natural world gasping for its last breath, and us along with it. The whales came as an offering so we may see this picture of the incredible need to respond--now. The whales came to show us the illusion of separation. It is this separateness that is killing us and so harming the Earth.
There are powerful planetary forces directing our lives. This we must understand. Everything ‘happens’. And, as the saying goes, “As Above So Below”, and I say to you “As Below So Above.” Can we alter the events in the Cosmos, as they do us? Is there true co-creation? Or is it just one-sided?
I know it works both ways. I know you too will believe this after reading this book and viewing the videos.
